CEI launches new academic programs |
CEI continues to develop new programs that meet the needs of students, regional employers, and the community. Several new degrees launched in fall 2025.
The new Associate of Arts in education is designed to help students easily transition into four-year programs. In addition to courses that would be required for a bachelor’s degree in education, CEI’s program will offer students a chance to get into classrooms and gain real-world experience. (Learn more in the East Idaho News.)
CEI also launched its first four-year degree programs, the BAS in digital forensics and analytics and BAS in operations management. Expanding opportunities into bachelor’s degree options reflects CEI’s commitment to providing accessible and affordable higher education opportunities for learners in the region.
The new dental hygiene program is in the process of seeking initial accreditation with the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Its first cohort of students is estimated to start in fall 2026. |

| Future Tech Building naming |
This summer, CEI's new building being built on the north end of campus was officially named the Battelle Energy Alliance (BEA) Future Tech Building in partnership with Frontier Credit Union. The 88,000-square-foot building will house advanced labs, collaborative classrooms, and the BEA Applied STEM Institute, an innovative program to connect students with real-world learning and career pathways in STEM.
Frontier Credit Union will also hold naming rights for a 4,087-square-foot conference space within the building, designated for STEM lectures and community events. The building’s name reflects major contributions from both BEA and Frontier Credit Union to support STEM education and workforce development in Idaho. |
