Idaho Career and Technical Education
The state of Idaho offers several types of scholarships available for students pursuing a Career Technical Education (CTE) degree. For a list of technical degrees, please visit the website.

Diamond W Scholarship Fund
Graduating seniors from Snake River High School who are planning to attend any accredited 2 to 4-year college/university. Deadline May 1st.

Erle and Cynthia Byram Scholarship
Students in any high school south of the Salmon River, who will be first-year students. Deadline is March 15th.\

Anne Veseth Memorial Scholarship Fund
High school senior or undergraduate college student planning to be full-time at an Idaho college. Must major in Fire Ecology OR Auto Mechanics. Minimum 2.5 GPA.

Idaho Power Company – Kevin Whittier Memorial Scholarship Fund
High school seniors and students enrolling in a degree-seeking or certification program in the area of Engineering; Planning full-time attendance at an accredited Idaho college, university, or vocational-technical school.\

CTE U.S. Presidential Scholars Scholarship
For seniors graduating from an Idaho high school; demonstrating academic achievement in career and technical programs. *Go to the bottom regarding the CTE portion for the scholarship.

Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program
High school graduates under the age of 30 demonstrating financial need. Up to $2,500. Due June 15th. For Associate level or technical degree/certificate at a not-for-profit school.

Idaho Governor’s Cup Career & Technical
Idaho graduating senior reenrolling full-time in an academic or technical program at an Idaho college/university. GPA above 2.8. Merit-based award requiring community service. Deadline March.

Idaho Opportunity Scholarship
Need-based award requiring at least a 2.7 GPA. Complete FASFA and State Board of Education scholarship by March 1st. Re-apply yearly up to four years.
(There are several types of Opportunity scholarships offered by the State Board of Education, students are encouraged to explore and apply for all they may be eligible for.)

Roger C. Sathre Memorial Scholarship
Idaho High school graduates planning to enroll full-time in a career and technical degree. Administered through Idaho Community Foundation.

Merit Scholarships
Due March 31 for BPA/DECA/DEX participants. Due April 30 for FCCLA/Skills USA participants. Due June 30 for FFA participants.

Business Professionals of America (BPA)
For BPA members. Sherrell Wheeler Scholarship, National Officer Scholarship Fund, National Technical Honor Society Scholarships.

DECA members strictly merit based. Due January 14, 2022.

Advanced Opportunities

Early Graduation Scholarship
For high school students who graduate at least one full year early. Scholarships are to be used at Idaho public post-secondary institutions. The awarded amount will double for students who graduate two years early and will triple for students who graduate three years early. IF a student elects not to attend a college or university immediately after high school, they will have up to 28 months to utilize the scholarships before it expires.

Big Sun Scholarship
$500 athletic scholarship for student-athletes regardless of the sport they are engaged in or the capacity in which they participate. The student must be a high school senior or attending a post-secondary institute.

Idaho Community Foundation Scholarships
FIC managers over 70 different scholarship funds. Each has its own eligibility criteria, application requirements, and review process. The deadlines vary.

Big Future

Mayors Scholarship Fund
The Idaho Falls Mayor’s scholarship fund raises money and awareness to provide financial assistance to students in the greater Idaho Falls area who plan to pursue post-secondary education. Due February.

American Legion Scholarships
For children of post 9/11 veterans who died on active duty, or have a combined VA disability rating of 50% or greater. It is a needs-based scholarship designed to fulfill a financial gap remaining after all federal and state educational grants/scholarships available to an eligible applicant have been utilized. Due mid-November.

US Bank Scholarship Program
Over $20,000 in scholarships awarded. Due October of each year.

Westmark Credit Union Scholarship
Scholarships are available for members with a minimum of $25 in their Westmark account. In order to be eligible the following criteria must be met: 2018 High school graduate, attend a state-accredited or licensed post-secondary school, use scholarship funds in summer or fall, GPA of at least 3.50 Due March of each year.

DL Evans Bank Scholarship
For graduating high school seniors attending the following universities: College of Southern Idaho, Idaho State University, College of Idaho, University of Idaho, Boise State University, College of Western Idaho, Treasure Valley Community College, and Brigham Young University-Idaho. Look at the website for more details and the due date.

Arctic Chiropractic
Be enrolled full time by October minimum GPA of 2.5 Due June of each year.

P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education
Intended to provide financial assistance to women who are continuing their education to support themselves and/or their families. Must have had at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life. Enrolled in an education program. Online applications will be considered no more than four months prior to the beginning of the semester that is being requested. The application must be submitted electronically ten weeks prior to the beginning of term.

Providian Medical Scholarship
Must be enrolled in accredited United States College, 16 years or older, and maintain a GPA of 3.0. The deadline is June 21st for summer or Jan 15th for winter. Instruction and essay requirements are on the website.

MassMutual Scholars
Sophomore, junior, senior, or 5th-year student in pursuit of an undergraduate degree. Full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students who are pursuing a career in insurance and financial service.

Idaho Professional Technical Education Foundation – Tools of the Trade Scholarship
Any student who plans to be or is enrolled in an approved professional technical education program at the postsecondary level that requires tools. Must be an Idaho resident, registered full time, and maintain a 2.5 GPA or better. An essay and two letters of recommendation are required.

Benevolent Patriotic Order Scholarship
Must be a Bingham country resident and planning to attend an Idaho school. Must show financial need that is established in their 300-word essay. Application is due April of each year.

Zonta Scholarship for Female Non-traditional Student
Student must be out of high school for at least five years and currently enrolled and completed one semester of academic or vocational learning. Three letters of recommendation, a short essay about why applying for the scholarship, and a transcript from present school. Due early April. Call 208-785-2287 or 208-604-2287 for details.

American Indian Education Foundation
Descendants of federally recognized American Indian tribe. Must be enrolled in accredited 2 to 4-year college/university/technical/vocational school. Turn in by early March.

National Relief Charities- American Indian Education Foundation
For documented Native American or Alaska Native descent attending full time an accredited 2 or 4-year college/university/technical/vocational school. Information and application can be found on the website.

Eastern Idaho State Fair Scholarship
For graduating seniors from the Eastern Idaho State Fairs 16 County Districts. It is encouraged to enter the fair in either the 4-H department or as an FFA member. Qualifications are: graduating senior, minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher, participate in the fair in 4-H or FFA, attend a school within the 16 County Fair District (Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Bonneville, Butte, Caribou, Clark, Custer, Franklin, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, Oneida, Power, and Teton). Due January.

American Muscle Student Scholarship
4 x $2000 scholarships for students pursuing an automotive-themed major (mechanical engineering, robotics, etc.) Two scholarships will be awarded every spring semester, followed by two additional scholarships to be awarded for the fall semester each year.

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation
Current High school student attending school in the U.S. and will graduate in the current academic year.

Idaho Latino Scholarship Foundation
Over 70 scholarships for Idaho Latino students. Applications Due in April. 2.5 GPA. Idaho high school students. Latino descent.

Bingham County Mayor’s Scholarship
Open to graduating seniors and continuing education students in Bingham County. Due February of each year.

William J. and Shirley A. Maeck Family Foundation Scholarship
Senior from Idaho Falls School District 91 attending an Idaho State school. GPA 3.0-3.5. Due April of each year.

Odd Fellows Memorial Scholarship
Student must be a graduating senior at an Idaho Falls School District 91 school or have graduated from an Idaho Falls School District 91 school, be a currently matriculating sophomore or junior at an approved school or training program within the State of Idaho, and never previously been awarded an Odd Fellow Memorial Scholarship.

John and Olive Adams Foundation Scholarship
The John and Olive Adams Foundation will award scholarships to graduating High School Senior students who plan to further their education at an accredited Idaho state college or university. The student must reside in Bingham, Bonneville, Fremont, Jefferson, or Madison County. Learn More

Mountain View Charity Scholarship
Students must be enrolled full-time at Idaho State University or College of Eastern Idaho (formerly Eastern Idaho Technical College) during both academic semesters, be a full-time undergraduate/technical student, be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or higher), and be 25 years of age or older during the calendar year when the funds are first released. For example, you must have been born no later than December 31, 1994, to be eligible for the 2019-2020 scholarship cycle. Provide the contact information for a former/current employer or instructor who is willing to fill out a short recommendation form.
